I'll be dancing around Portland this Friday during the First Friday Artwalk. From 8-9pm I'll be at the Dark Follies event in Monument square, which it is said will have fire spinning, belly dancing, and all kinds of other bizarre performances ^__^ Thanks to
jacintamusica for letting me know!
An anonymous commenter let me know that apparently I'm in the Portland Phoenix annual "Best Of" reader poll:

It'd be quite ironic if I won considering that I'm not living in Portland any more :D
Me, I voted for Naya's Trance Belly Dance...
New feature on desiremenu.net: if you want extra security for your menu, you can now protect it with a password.
You can now also say that you want your menu to be public, though that doesn't actually do anything yet.
The default is "unlisted", which means the web address for the menu is like an unlisted phone number: the web address isn't given out to anyone, but anyone you give the web address to will be able to join or view the menu.
I finished added a new feature to desiremenu.net today. You can now share with others a menu that you've created.
Before, you could invite people to join you in a menu, where you could see everyone's responses in the same place. But, that didn't allow you to share a menu with other people where they could fill it out themselves. There's now a "share" tab where you can take a menu and post a link to it, which will let people fill out their own copy of the menu.
I think I have desiremenu.net working with IE now. If you're an IE user, give it a try, and if you have any problems, do let me know right away! Thanks!
New on desiremenu.net, you can now add multiple questions to the menu page.
I added a new feature to desiremenu.net today: people can now add a comment about a suggestion as well as rating it.
Ratings with comments have a lightbulb icon, and if you mouseover the lightbulb you'll get a popup appear with the person's comment.
I added a chat feature to http://desiremenu.net/ today. Now when people have questions or comments about the suggestions they can talk right in the menu ^_^
Hey, I think the site is becoming usable: http://desiremenu.net/

I'm working on a new project: http://desiremenu.net/
Ever get into one of those really long discussions with friends about what to do, such as which movie to go see? The idea is a very simple way for people to list options and then have everyone rate them, so you can easily see at a glance which option is the most popular.
It's a work in progress... and I still have a lot of work to do! But give it a try if you'd like, and I appreciate your suggestions and feedback. And, let me know if it isn't working on your browser / operating system / Internet connection :)
P.S. I'm going a bit stir-crazy doing nothing but working on this project, so if anyone would like me to visit them let me know! ^__^
"A dance a day" is on hold for a bit while I regroup. Still fiddling around with different video editing software trying to find something that I like and works well. And I'm starting to feel restless... getting to be about time to hit the road again!
My thought is to record a dance a day for a month. (Kind of like NaNo, sort of). So far I've recorded a dance every day for the last four days. I expect they probably won't be super great at the beginning, as I'm spending most of my time now focusing of the mechanics of getting a tripod set up and the camera aimed in the right direction and finding working video editing software and so on. Don't know if it makes sense to post them all in LiveJournal though. Maybe just point people to YouTube where they can find them if they want to.
